Job Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who wants to work in a key role where purchasing, finance, and property management intersect.

You want to contribute to increased business value, developed purchasing processes, and long-term financial sustainability. As a purchasing controller, you have a central role in supporting the organization with analysis, follow-up, and development of purchasing and contract work. You thrive in a role where you collaborate broadly within the organization and dare to challenge existing ways of working with facts and analysis. You work closely with various roles in the purchasing function and other units in the finance department, as well as with project managers and our property management.

As a purchasing controller, you are responsible for monitoring purchases, contracts, and suppliers. This includes the following:

• Develop and implement routines and methods for both central follow-up and follow-up that occurs in the organization.
• Conduct central purchasing follow-up and analysis, which includes identifying purchasing patterns, developing key figures for a well-functioning purchasing process, and proposing improvements.
• Participate in follow-up that occurs in the organization as needed.
• Support the organization in identifying savings and efficiency opportunities and provide feedback on improvement proposals based on follow-up and analysis.
• Ensure compliance with requirements set in procurements and contracts.
• Ensure the company's routines for good internal control in the purchasing area.
• Provide purchasing volumes as a basis for procurements and give feedback on improvement proposals regarding contract terms and contract construction to purchasers.
• Identify strategically important purchasing areas and suppliers, and together with the purchasing organization, develop methods for these to increase business value.

This is a newly established role, which means you will be involved in building and shaping the structure of the work.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in finance, purchasing, or similar. You have several years of experience in follow-up and analysis work within the purchasing area, where the purpose has been to increase business value and ensure contract compliance. You are comfortable interpreting contract text and terms. You need to have good knowledge of the Office suite, mainly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as IT tools for purchasing, finance, supplier invoices, and spend analysis. Good collaboration skills are a must, and strong communication skills in both speech and writing are required.

It is an advantage if you have experience with the Public Procurement Act (2016:1145) and work in property companies. It is also advantageous if you have experience in process management. We also welcome experience in conducting dialogue meetings with suppliers and contractors.

To succeed in this role, you need to work in a structured and solution-focused manner and have a business-oriented approach. You have excellent analytical skills and can collect and process large amounts of data. You immerse yourself in and adapt your actions and priorities according to the organization's goals, needs, and conditions. You have the ability to take initiative, strong self-leadership, as well as drive and perseverance. You enjoy working in an organization in change and are motivated to both participate in and drive development.

Additional Information

As a purchasing controller, you will belong to the finance department, which consists of the units of purchasing, controlling, accounting, and rental administration. You will belong to the purchasing unit, which consists of three purchasers and a purchasing manager, but will also have close collaboration with the controlling unit and other units. You report to the purchasing manager, who is your immediate supervisor, but you will also report to the finance manager. In your role, you will have a significant opportunity to influence the development of purchasing work and purchasing maturity in the organization, while being part of a larger context in a group where you can exchange experiences and knowledge with sister companies.
